Job Summary
Read blueprints and measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal forms for foundations, walls, curbs, and slabs. Set forms to precise lines, grades, and elevations using levels and layout tools. Install and secure rebar and wire mesh, then brace and align forms to ensure stability during concrete placement. Assist with concrete finishing and curing, then strip, clean, and reuse forms. Maintain tools and a safe job site while following OSHA procedures. This physically demanding role requires lifting and extended standing in various weather conditions. Early mornings, overtime, and travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts
- Familiarity with formwork systems, hand tools, and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA 10/30 preferred)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, kneeling)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with strong teamwork skills
- Must be willing to travel as needed
- Must be available for early mornings, overtime, and weekends depending on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of concrete form setting experience preferred
