Job Summary
Read blueprints and interpret project specifications to measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal forms for concrete structures. Set forms to precise lines, grades, and elevations using levels and layout tools, then brace and align them for stability during concrete placement. Install rebar and wire mesh reinforcement as required, assist with concrete finishing and curing, and strip, clean, and reuse forms after setting. Maintain tools and a clean, safe job site while following all OSHA procedures. This physically demanding role involves early mornings, overtime, and travel to outdoor construction sites in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts
- Familiarity with formwork systems, hand tools, and power tools
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards (OSHA 10/30 preferred)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, kneeling)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with strong teamwork skills
- Must be willing to travel as needed
- Must be available for early mornings, overtime, and weekends depending on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of concrete form setting experience preferred
