Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate a team of skilled workers in specialized trades, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations. Review blueprints and technical documents to guide accurate execution, then assign and delegate tasks based on crew skill levels and project needs. Monitor daily progress, conduct safety meetings, and inspect completed work to maintain quality standards while correcting issues as necessary. Provide training and mentorship to develop team performance and resolve on-site conflicts quickly to avoid delays. Maintain a clean, organized job site and ensure materials and equipment are properly maintained. Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth project flow.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in the specialty trade industry
- at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, project management, and industry best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly and effectively
- Physical stamina to work on job sites and perform manual labor when required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift items over 20 pounds, including lifting and carrying materials
- Ability to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Regular attendance and punctuality
