Job Summary

Conduct layout and installation of formwork and shoring systems, including foundations, walls, columns, slabs, stairs, decks, curbs, ramps, and roofs. Execute rebar placement, concrete pours, metal framing, drywall installation, and installation of doors and windows. Oversee daily field activities, coordinate labor and materials, identify equipment needs, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Perform all duties in accordance with company safety standards and support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This role is part of RQ's Self-Perform Operations team, specializing in accelerated commercial construction and Department of Defense facilities nationwide, with active projects in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of four years of field or trade experience in concrete carpentry and structural forming work, particularly vertical wall forming and elevated slab forming/shoring
  • At least two years of experience serving in a Foreman or supervisory role overseeing concrete trades on medium to large construction projects
  • Experience with scheduling, material ordering, field supervision, production management, quality control, and jobsite safety
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural construction drawings
  • Bilingual Spanish and English communication skills
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • U.S. work authorization
  • Drug screening clearance
  • Commercial criminal background check clearance
  • Department of Defense background check clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience on government, military, or large-scale commercial construction projects
  • Prior exposure to Design-Build construction environments, quality control, safety procedures, masonry, carpentry, or landscaping
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • EM-385 training
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications
