Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate concrete crews on heavy civil construction projects, directing workers to place forms, install rebar, and pour, finish, and cure concrete according to specifications. Inspect form stability, read specification sheets for aggregate and cement proportions, and prescribe curing methods to ensure structural integrity. Train new workers, operate excavators and loaders, and record job data including time and yardage. Manage on-site activities for earthwork, paving, and utility projects while maintaining work standards and customer satisfaction. Requires 5-6 years of heavy civil experience, high school education, and ability to lift 50 lbs in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School or Degree or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 5-6 years of heavy civil construction experience
- Ability to proficiently operate excavator, front bucket loaders, fork lift and skid steer
- Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk and lift heavy objects (50 lbs)
- Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
