Job Summary
Concrete Finisher responsible for pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete to specified texture and depth. Duties include setting forms, edging, bullfloating, using straightedge/float/power screed to finish surfaces, patching defects, applying curing mixes, installing reinforcement rods, and forming expansion joints. Reports to the Concrete Foreman and Site Foreman, collaborates with other trades, and attends required safety trainings. This role requires willingness to travel out of town up to three weeks at a time, dependable attendance, and adherence to site safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate preferred
- 5 years of concrete finishing experience or completion of apprenticeship program
- Ability to read and understand measuring and leveling tools
- Ability to follow direction and self-supervise when needed
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to work out of town, sometimes out of state, for extended periods
- Clean driving record
- Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and random screenings if required
- Must attend safety meetings and communicate with crew and safety personnel
- Must be over 18 to operate power-driven saws and related equipment
- Must be able to perform physical demands including heavy lifting and repetitive motion
- Must pass 30 Hour OSHA and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting
