Job Summary
Place and finish concrete floors, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, and bridge decks by leveling, smoothing, rounding edges, and installing fixtures. Apply architectural, exposed, patterned, and stamped surfaces while operating power vibrators to compact concrete. Repair, resurface, and replace worn sections, then apply hardening, sealing, waterproofing, and damp-proofing components. Protect freshly poured surfaces from weather conditions and provide quality assurance for pours. Work with minimal supervision, following all safety procedures and participating in site safety meetings. Requires 3+ years of experience, ability to work 10+ hour days outdoors in various conditions, and physical stamina for heavy manual tasks up to 50lbs.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience
- Experience with various flat work finishing
- Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbs
- Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
- Positive attitude / team player
- Strong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
Desired Qualifications
- Grouting experience
- Have knowledge how to properly use dry pack grouting and epoxy materials
- Proven expertise in how to perfectly cure concrete
- Understand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.
