Job Summary
Concrete Finisher responsible for finishing concrete surfaces on construction projects using hand and power tools. Duties include pouring and spreading concrete to required thickness, smoothing and leveling with trowels, creating forms, following safety protocols, coordinating with crew and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets, and providing training/supervision to Concrete Finisher I and II personnel. Must be able to read blueprints/drawings, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, analyze project data to identify opportunities for improvement, and adapt to weekend/evening hours and Arizona climate. Join an experienced concrete finishing team on AZ-heavy civil projects; overtime may be required and safety/compliance with government contracts is valued.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in concrete finishing preferred
- 3+ years of experience in concrete finishing, with experience in a construction setting preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
- May include some weekend and evening work, possible excessive hours during short durations and working in the AZ climate
