Job Summary
Concrete Finisher responsible for placing and finishing poured concrete surfaces (floors, sidewalks, roads, curbs) using hand and power tools, setting forms, installing joints/embeds, protecting curing concrete, and performing repairs. Key duties include setting and aligning forms to grade/depth; coordinating concrete placement with truck/pump operations; screeding, leveling, vibrating, and finishing concrete; installing control/expansion joints and finishing edges; applying broom, stamped, or decorative finishes; installing anchors, plates, and embeds; monitoring curing conditions and applying curing/sealing compounds; laying out joints and saw-cutting per specs; repairing surfaces by chipping, grinding, patching voids, and performing cut/drill/reinforce repairs; cleaning and maintaining tools/equipment. Requires 2+ years concrete finishing experience, experience with custom forms, reliable transportation (travel up to 75 miles), and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; OSHA 10/30 preferred. Primarily field-based in construction environments with exposure to varying weather, loud noises, and heavy equipment; must be able to work outdoors/indoors and perform physically demanding tasks. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of concrete finishing experience
- Experience with custom, job-built forms
- Reliable transportation; travel up to 75 miles to job site
- Carry required personal tools (trowels, floats, tool belt, etc.)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and heavier loads with assistance; ability to perform strenuous labor
