Job Summary
Conduct all stages of concrete preparation and placement, including screeding and finishing surfaces for floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, and curbs using hand and power tools. Design and construct formwork for foundations, curbs, ramps, walls, and columns, while patching voids and cutting control/contraction joints with saws. Assist in non-concrete related construction work as assigned, implementing required safety practices and using appropriate equipment. Perform these duties on a military installation where prevailing wages apply. Candidates must provide proof of identity and U.S. work authorization, pass a drug screening, and undergo a Department of Defense background check.
Required Qualifications
- Evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization
- Successful passage of a drug screening
- Successful passage of a commercial criminal background check
- Successful passage of a stricter Department of Defense background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in concrete within the construction industry
- Experience in government, military, or large commercial construction
- Work in the design-build industry
- Bilingual (Spanish and English skills)
- English speaking, writing, and reading skills
- Trenching and shoring training
- Fall protection training
- Confined space training
- OSHA 10-hour
