Job Summary
Concrete Estimator responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for concrete projects, researching public construction projects to determine biddability and opportunities, tracking bid schedules and pre-bid meetings, reviewing plans/specifications, performing quantity takeoffs for labor/materials/equipment, maintaining supplier/subcontractor relationships, preparing bid sheets and packages for General Contractor and Subcontractor bids, coordinating required bonds, and reviewing final estimates with ownership to ensure alignment with schedule, scope, and cost goals.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within concrete or heavy civil projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software tools: Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, ProCore, BlueBeam
- Strong understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of construction site operations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with cost control techniques and budget management practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
