Job Summary
Estimator for concrete construction responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings to develop winning bids for commercial projects. Prepare concrete construction estimates addressing footings, poured walls, flatwork, and post-tension design elements. Manage full bid process from drawing receipt to final bid submission, including submittals and deliverables. Build strong relationships with General Contractors and collaborate across multi-family, hotel, religious, medical office, and industrial projects in North & South Carolina. Requires reading and understanding construction drawings, proficiency in AutoCAD and PlanSwift, and solid Microsoft Office skills. High-energy candidate with experience in estimating, construction management, or civil engineering.
Required Qualifications
- BS Construction management or 3 years reading drawings and developing quotes/bids
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Auto Cad and/or Plan Swift
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings/prints
- Must know Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel
- Must be self-motivated & punctual
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks under moderate time-sensitive pressure and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally
- Must be professional and polished in appearance
