Job Summary
Directs and manages all aspects of delivery activities and department staff at the specified location(s); plans, coordinates, and assigns work to Dispatchers, Drivers and/or Yard personnel to meet or exceed scheduling goals; establishes schedules for economical delivery options and optimizes materials handling equipment and delivery vehicles; monitors inventories, production programs, and factors affecting delivery schedules; revises schedules based on orders, cancellations, returns, and forecasts; manages a department to achieve functional and financial goals; tracks delivery-related metrics and reports to management; oversees staff performance, training, discipline, and safety practices; ensures adherence to safety procedures and actively participates in safety meetings; office and outdoor work environment with potential for physical activity up to 25 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience coordinating shipping/delivery activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience required
