Job Summary
Set up and position the concrete boom pump at the job site according to project plans and safety guidelines. Operate the boom pump controls to deliver concrete to designated locations with precision and efficiency. Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of the boom pump to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with concrete truck drivers and site personnel to coordinate concrete delivery schedules and placement. Monitor the boom pump operation continuously to detect and resolve any mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly. Maintain accurate records of pump operation times, maintenance activities, and any incidents or delays. Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols to minimize risks to personnel and equipment during operation. Assist in the disassembly and cleaning of the boom pump equipment after job completion. The operator applies knowledge of safety regulations daily to create a secure working environment, preventing accidents and equipment damage. Additionally, the ability to interpret construction plans ensures that concrete placement aligns with project specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements as required by state regulations
- Proven experience operating concrete boom pumps or similar heavy construction equipment
- Strong understanding of concrete placement techniques and construction site safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints related to concrete placement
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
