Concrete Block Machine Operator

Job Summary
Operate the batching system to feed aggregates, cement, and water and set machine parameters to form concrete blocks with high levels of vibration. Monitor moisture, dimensions, color, and imperfections; run both wetside and dryside operations; dislodge jams, remove scrap, and ensure proper waste disposal. Record production and keep the work area clean and orderly. Adhere to OSHA and H&K safety policies, participate in training opportunities, and maintain quality standards. Requires ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment, lift up to 100 pounds, and have basic mechanical aptitude with PPE usage. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum of one month of related experience or training; willingness to learn block manufacturing, curing, cubing machinery and basic maintenance. Final pay determined by experience and scope of work.
Required Qualifications
- One month of related experience and/or training
- Willing to learn how to operate block manufacturing, curing, cubing machinery
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn basic preventative maintenance/repair on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Able to use hand and air tools
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Experience in heavy manufacturing, civil construction, road construction, or quarries (preferred)
- MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications (preferred)
