Concrete Batch Plant / Pug Mill Loader Operator

Job Summary
Operate front-end loader to stockpile, move, and load aggregates (sand, gravel, etc.) into batch plant bins; maintain proper material levels to ensure uninterrupted concrete production; inspect raw materials for quality and contamination; perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance on loader; keep plant yard clean and organized; assist batch plant operators with production needs; load trucks and support plant operations during peak demand; monitor stockpile levels and communicate material needs to supervisors; follow company safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations. This role emphasizes safety, precision in material handling, and teamwork in a heavy civil/construction setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment
- Experience in a concrete batch plant, aggregate yard, or construction environment preferred
- Ability to safely operate equipment in tight spaces and high-traffic areas
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspections and minor maintenance
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation
- Strong situational awareness and safety focus
