Job Summary
Concord Academy seeks an experienced coach to plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop athletes' skills and knowledge of the sport; prepare student-athletes for competition through instruction, conditioning, and strategic planning; foster a positive team culture emphasizing respect, integrity, discipline, and sportsmanship; supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities; communicate effectively with students, parents, school administration, and athletic staff; promote student safety and proper use of athletic equipment; and serve as a positive role model on and off campus. The role requires leading with leadership, strong communication, and organizational skills, and integrating faith, character development, and sportsmanship into the athletic program in line with the school's mission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience in the assigned sport preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated alignment with Concord Academy's mission and values, including modeling Christ-like character and behavior, and supporting spiritual development where appropriate.
