Job Summary
Concierge role at The Residence at Basking Ridge (Basking Ridge, NJ) supporting Emerald Suites operations. Responsibilities include greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate person, answering calls and taking messages, making reservations, coordinating with department heads, assisting residents with needs and activities, acquiring knowledge of local venues, arranging events and transportation upon request, and maintaining a welcoming Concierge floor environment. Requires knowledge of basic telephone reception, English communication skills, and prior reception/concierge experience in upscale environments. Schedule: part-time with evening shifts (4pm-8pm) and weekends; opportunities include per diem and benefits for full-time associates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months to one-year prior reception/concierge/Executive Assistant experience in an upscale environment such as a resort or hotel with concierge services
- Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems
- Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
- Ability to greet residents and visitors and provide assistance/information
- Ability to coordinate and arrange events, reservations, transportation, and other duties as part of the Concierge program
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor
- Ability to work 4pm-8pm, weekends and evenings as scheduled
