Job Summary
The Concierge (Relief) position involves monitoring and directing visitors, maintaining security logs, coordinating medical transportation for residents, and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include documenting behaviors potentially related to mental health or addiction, ensuring effective communication with staff, and submitting regular reports to the Program Director. Candidates should have experience in human services, knowledge of public health issues, and strong interpersonal skills. Availability for evening and weekend work and a commitment to social justice principles are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in human services and crisis intervention is essential
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, HIV/STI, and related public health and social service topics is required
- Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills
- Candidates should have a strong commitment to social justice and principles of cultural responsiveness
- Background and driving record checks will be performed
Desired Qualifications
- Awareness and sensitivity towards issues surrounding AIDS, mental health, and substance use
- Experience in human services and crisis intervention
- Background in providing behavioral health services to LGBTQ+ youth of color and their allies
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to participate in training
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, HIV/STI, and related public health and social service topics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Strong commitment to social justice and principles of cultural responsiveness
- Availability for evening and weekend work
Additional Requirements
- Relief staff will need to work at least one 8-hour shift per month
- Schedule will depend on what the needs of the program are
