Job Summary
Receive guests and visitors, managing check-ins and guiding them to resident rooms. Answer telephone calls, take messages, and forward information to staff while announcing appointments and arrivals. Type memos, correspondence, and reports as requested, and sort mail for distribution to residents and departments. Maintain confidentiality of resident information, keep the front desk and lobby neat, and provide tours to prospective families. Perform non-professional duties and assist the Community Leadership Team with administrative activities. Work part-time Mondays, Fridays, and weekends from 9am to 6pm at a rate of $16 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Prior experience in working with public
- Good physical and mental health
- PPD screening
- Interest in people, especially the geriatric population
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Tact and courtesy in dealing with staff, residents, their families and visitors
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees and outside contacts
- Willingness to perform non-professional duties
- Level-headedness in emergency situations
- Acute sense of responsibility
- Spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm
- Willingness to attend all mandatory company meetings and specified training sessions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
