Job Summary
Welcome residents, visitors, and guests while monitoring entry and exit points to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Manage external and internal communications by taking messages, forwarding calls, and distributing mail and packages. Assist the Executive Director and Business Office with clerical duties, support Sales & Marketing with inquiries, and help residents schedule transportation and community events. Submit work orders to maintenance, monitor emergency response systems, and facilitate communication between staff and families regarding resident care. Handle guest meal sales and credit card transactions as needed. Engage in conflict resolution for residents, families, and staff while maintaining effective teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service role
- CPR or BLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to climb or balance
- Ability to communicate effectively and identify/interpret written information
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently
- Ability to lift up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Ability to follow all infection prevention and control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to participate in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale
- Ability to work well with others and take direction from management
- Capability to engage in conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others
- Ability to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives
- Ability to actively pursue self-improvement and embrace opportunities for continuous learning
- Ability to complete a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to participate in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations)
- Ability to use designated personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and applicable law
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a senior living facility, healthcare, hospitality, or similar setting preferred
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable
