Job Summary
Oversee food and beverage service at arena concessions, bars, and portable locations by ensuring proper setup, verifying inventory, and assigning duties to staff and volunteers. Manage cash distribution, process orders via POS, and handle payments while enforcing sanitation, safety, and health standards. Train new and current employees on procedures, mentor event staff, and address immediate safety concerns or incidents. Supervise beverage service including alcohol sales, verify guest IDs, and ensure a cooperative workplace environment. Assist leadership with training, inventory, and special events projects. Requires 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage, valid food handling or alcohol service permit, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven setting. Salary ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 hourly with tip eligibility; benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory
