Job Summary
Oversee concession stand setup, including inventory verification, equipment checks, and staff assignments. Ensure all sanitation, safety, and operational procedures are followed prior to and during events. Provide direction and support to stand staff and volunteers to maintain speed of service and guest satisfaction. Monitor food production levels based on event attendance projections and supervise responsible alcohol service, including ID checks. Train and mentor employees on company procedures, service standards, and best practices while enforcing company policies. Assist with order taking, POS transactions, and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy. Maintain cleanliness of workspaces and report safety concerns immediately. This role requires a valid food handling certificate and Safe Serve Certificate, with a schedule involving event-driven shifts at TD Coliseum.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment
- Ability to lead and supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including co-workers, customers and management which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate and Safe Serve Certificate
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory
