Job Summary
Set up, operate, and close the concession stand at the St. Joseph REC Center by preparing and serving food and drink, filling orders, and managing cash registers with accurate change. Assist in set-up, clean-up, and restocking of the stand and surrounding areas while enforcing center rules and policies. Requires availability for irregular hours, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to lift objects weighing 10 to 50 pounds. High school diploma preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work irregular hours and at various intervals, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of cash register operations and ability to accept money and disburse correct change to customers.
- Ability to deal effectively with customers where a high volume of transactions occurs in a relatively short period of time.
- Ability to lift objects weighing between 10 and 50 pounds.
- Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing 10 to 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Some experience in food handling and preparation, and in operating a cash register, is helpful.
