Job Summary
Computer Vision Scientist II based in Atlanta, GA, focusing on developing and implementing AI and machine vision technologies for the railroad industry. Requires a Bachelor’s in a related field, at least 1 year of CV/perception experience in transportation/rail, proficiency with Python/MATLAB and C++, and the ability to work in-office every work week with telecommuting options aligned to a hybrid policy. Weekend and on-call availability is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in computer vision, perception, or sensor-processing for real-time or safety-critical applications within the transportation or railroad domains
- Experience designing and integrating perception or sensor-processing algorithms for camera, radar, lidar, or similar sensors using Python or MATLAB and producing production or near-production code in C++ or a similar language
- Experience with loop-based validation (Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop) to verify algorithm behavior prior to release
- Experience building and maintaining unit and module test suites including regression tests
- Must be able to work weekends and on-call as necessary
