Job Summary
Perform data analysis based on supervisor requests and create machine learning pipelines on leading cloud platforms. Participate in software solution development, testing, and evaluation for industrial applications including defect detection and quality assurance. Test and evaluate developed solutions to optimize processes. This fixed-term co-op role commences September 21, 2026, and concludes August 27, 2027, with compensation of $24.50 to $28.50 per hour. Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of computer vision and machine learning technologies
- Strong Python programming skills
- Knowledge of relevant mathematics, statistics, machine learning techniques, data pipelines, and software development workflows
- PEY/co-op student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent engineering, mathematics, or science discipline
- Strong Python programming experience
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms
- Experience with software development processes
- Experience in computer vision tasks such as image classification, object detection, semantic segmentation, or 3D reconstruction
- Experience with ROS2
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Ability to work on complex engineering systems using creative approaches
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal
