Job Summary
Maintain classroom learning technology by diagnosing, repairing, and deploying student devices, workstations, and audio-visual systems across District buildings. Resolve help desk tickets, manage asset inventory, and perform basic network troubleshooting including cabling checks and wireless connectivity. Provide user support and training to staff and students on hardware operations and digital security best practices. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and vendors to ensure reliable technology operations supporting classroom instruction. Participate in team initiatives and may require flexible hours during peak periods or emergency infrastructure restorsations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one year professional, hands-on experience in computer hardware/software operations, desktop support, or IT customer service
- Demonstrated competencies and strong interpersonal communication with a user-first, customer service approach
- Ability to stand, walk and sit
- Ability to push or lift up to 50 lbs as necessary
- Vision ability to read handwritten or typed materials
- Ability to meet multiple demands from several people while interacting with other staff and the public
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to perform functions of this position and associated roles required for emergency operations
- Occasional flexible working hours (evenings and weekends)
- Ability to perform emergency infrastructure restorations
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification(s)
- Previous K-12 public education or higher education technology support experience
- Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education
- Familiarity with mobile device management platforms
- Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems
