Computer Technician I / Deskside Support

Job Summary
Provide in-person deskside support across office, manufacturing, and light industrial environments in the Madison, WI area, delivering early coverage starting at 6:00 a.m. for manufacturing users. Troubleshoot common endpoint issues including Windows 11 usability, docks, monitors, printers, and scanners while serving as the first point of contact for incidents logged in Freshservice. Provision, image, and deploy Windows endpoints, manage identity tasks like password resets, and handle logistics for production mobility devices including Honeywell CK67 handheld scanners. Track hardware assets, maintain inventories, and prepare high-quality escalations to L2/L3 with complete triage details. Participate in light after-hours refresh work and as-needed on-call coverage for major incidents. This feeder role offers strong exposure to enterprise IT and modern workplace tooling within RPC, AprilAire, and Unified Operations facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of progressive IT experience
- Windows Server
- Windows 11 enterprise environments
- Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (VMware, Nutanix, Cisco, Microsoft, ITIL)
- Manufacturing or warehouse IT experience
- Rugged mobility / MDM experience (SOTI preferred)
