Job Summary
Complete district-wide helpdesk tickets and resolve end-user technology problems. Install, configure, and maintain computer equipment, network cabling, and peripherals across all campuses. Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues, including Chromebooks, Apple devices, printers, and audio-visual systems. Perform preventative maintenance, manage warranty repairs, and support staff during testing windows and special events. Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed and maintain accurate records of all service activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Clear and valid driver's license
- Subject to assignment
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed
- Knowledge of computer workstation setup and imaging
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows 11, Chrome, Apple)
- Knowledge of Chromebook and Apple devices including MDM software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows maintenance
- Knowledge of Group Policies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and Google Applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals including printers and scanners
- Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Manage and complete multiple tasks/projects with minimal supervision
- Responsibilities include being self-motivated, self-directed and detail oriented with organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- Evidence of professional interest and growth in areas of technology including a willingness to learn
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on technology knowledge and skills
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law and local board policy
- Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations
- Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (45 pounds and over)
- Exposure to electrical hazards
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours
- Frequent district wide travel
- May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day
