Job Summary
Computer Support Specialist (Infrastructure & Support) at Trax Credit Union provides end-to-end IT infrastructure support across multiple branch locations, including monitoring and troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and Windows-related issues; performing system configuration, install, and testing of workstations, servers, and telecom equipment; managing backups and documentation; handling service requests with SLA-driven timelines; deploying software updates; ensuring security with cybersecurity tools; and traveling to branches as needed, while staying current with technologies and supporting initiatives to improve performance and security.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of technical IT experience
- Progressive experience supporting PC/LAN hardware, software, operating systems, and enterprise systems (Windows, Linux, IBM AS400/iSeries)
- Experience working within a ticketing system and managing requests in alignment with SLA expectations
- Strong independent troubleshooting skills with exposure to infrastructure, networking, and system support
- Familiarity with telecom systems and supporting distributed branch environments is a plus
- Ability to travel to multiple branch locations (9 branches) as needed to provide onsite technical and infrastructure support
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 30 lbs as part of regular job duties
- Experience providing end-user support onsite, remote, and phone
- Experience with system configuration, installation, and testing for workstations, servers, telecom equipment, and other infrastructure components
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and best practices for endpoint and infrastructure protection
- Documentation and assurance of backups, data integrity, and recoverability
- Experience with software updates and deployment across organization
- Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
- Experience with planning and implementation of system upgrades and infrastructure enhancements
