Job Summary
Computer Science Teacher responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in computer science and related subjects to high school students, assessing progress, collaborating with colleagues, integrating technology, and staying current with CS education. Emphasis on using Project Lead the Way programming concepts, curriculum development, and providing professional development opportunities to support equitable, high-quality instruction within the Helix Mentorship and Maritime Academy community.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, education, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, education, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching computer science in a K-12 setting
- Strong understanding of computer programming concepts (Project Lead the Way)
- Prior experience with curriculum development and assessment
- Experience using technology in the classroom
- Proven success in student achievement
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, education, or related field
