Job Summary
Computer Science Teacher for Clint ISD Early College Academy, teaching programming and related computer science content to high school students through a contract position. Responsibilities include instructing students, implementing curriculum, and managing classroom behavior. Requires knowledge of core academic subject, curriculum and instruction, ability to teach and engage students, plus strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must hold a Bachelor's degree and a Valid Texas teaching certificate with CS endorsements (7-12/8-12), and complete an approved internship or student teaching experience. Documentation to accompany the application includes transcripts, certificate endorsements, Content Exam scores, driver’s license, and current resume.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements (Computer Science 7-12/8-12)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one year student teaching or approved internship
- Copy of College/University transcript with applicable degree(s) posted
- Copy of Texas teaching certificate with required endorsement
- Copy of Content Exam scores
- Copy of driver's license
