Job Summary
Computer Programmer Analyst I at NYC DEP to support applications and databases within Water Quality Data and Technology Operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving data, application and reporting issues; performing data changes; maintaining and configuring systems, applications, and databases; assisting in creating training materials and supporting documents; sustaining data management documentation; and generating efficient testing documents. Preferred skills include SQL Server, Power BI, T-SQL, .NET, PowerApps, Python, and Microsoft technologies. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities, plus the ability to work with end users to extract requirements and address complex issues. Work location at 15 Skyline Drive, Hawthorne, NY (35 hours/week, day shift; some weekend/holiday work possible). Education/experience may be substituted as described.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twenty-four (24) semester credits in computer science or a related computer field; or
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and three years of satisfactory full-time computer programming experience; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to the above, with substitutions as described
