Computer Network Defense Analyst-Mid

Job Summary
Analyze systems and network activity to identify vulnerabilities, assess unauthorized activity across enterprise environments, and investigate security events. De-obfuscate data, analyze system alerts, and provide actionable recommendations that improve the security posture and operational effectiveness of customer systems. Develop mitigation strategies to strengthen network defenses and protect enterprise systems from cyber threats while working with intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and network traffic logs. Requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and relevant degrees in network engineering or cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security
- Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field such as Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer Security
- 7 years of relevant experience for Associate of Science (A.S.) degree holders
- 5 years of relevant experience for Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree holders
- 3 years of relevant experience for Master of Science (M.S.) degree holders
- 2 years of relevant experience for Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree holders
- Experience in computer or information systems design and development
- Experience in software development or programming
- Experience in information, cyber, or network security
- Experience in vulnerability analysis
- Experience in penetration testing
- Experience in computer forensics
- Experience in information assurance
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience with network and/or system administration
- Experience collecting information from multiple sources including intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, network traffic logs, and host system logs
- Experience developing mitigation strategies to strengthen network defenses and protect enterprise systems and network infrastructure from cyber threats
- Demonstrated experience working with a variety of networking and communications technologies, including traditional wired networks, wireless communications (Wi-Fi and cellular), collaboration platforms such as video teleconferencing (VTC), and the hardware and software that support these environments
