Job Summary
Computer Field Technician responsible for hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units at customer sites (residential and commercial). Onboarding includes completing Dell and Lenovo certifications online. This 1099/per-call contractor role pays $50 per completed call, with pay issued every Friday after the first week. Daily tickets run Monday–Friday; requires a reliable form of transportation and valid driver’s license to travel between sites. Log into the tech portal each morning by 9 am to map routes and log calls; parts are picked up daily from FedEx or UPS for the territory. Must have hands-on experience replacing components on laptops/desktops and be comfortable with local travel. EEO guidance applies to all information kept confidential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Must have access to a computer and Internet to log onto your portal
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day
- Will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding (online)
