Job Summary
On-site hardware repair and installation of laptop and desktop units for residential and commercial customers. This 1099/contract role provides pay per completed call (starting at $35, increasing with distance), with weekly pay after the first week. The technician logs into a portal by 9 am to map routes and schedule calls, typically handling 2-3 calls per day across the territory. Daily travel is required, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Daily parts pickups from FedEx are required, and onsite services are performed at customer sites. Onboarding includes completing online certifications from Dell and Lenovo. Availability is needed on at least 3 weekdays. EEO guidelines apply.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
- You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex location for your territory before going onsite.
- You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding.
