Job Summary
Computer Field Technician position (1099/contract) performing on-site hardware repairs and installations for laptops and desktops across assigned territories. Requires Dell and Lenovo certifications during onboarding, reliable transportation and valid driver’s license, daily local travel, and ability to log into a tech portal by 9 am to map out daily calls. Pay is per call starting at $35 with additional pay based on distance traveled; tickets run Monday-Friday during the day shift with 2-5 calls per day and 3 weekdays availability. Technicians must be able to visit customer sites (residential and commercial), pick up parts daily from FedEx/UPS, and complete hands-on component replacements on laptops/desktops.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am
- You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite
- You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day
- You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding (online)
