Job Summary
Computer Field Technician position performing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units at customer sites across territories. This 1099/per call contract role pays $50 per completed call, with tickets run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Onboarding includes Dell and Lenovo certifications; candidate must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel between sites, log into a daily tech portal by 9 am to map routes, pick up parts daily from FedEx/UPS, and perform services at residential or commercial locations. Prior hands-on experience replacing components on laptops/desktops is required, and daily local travel is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Available to log into tech portal by 9 am to map daily calls
- Willing to complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding
- Access to a computer and Internet to log onto portal daily
- Must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered
