Job Summary
Computer Field Technician position doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. On-site work for warranty services across territories; 1099/per-call contract with pay starting at $35 per call and increasing with distance traveled. Requires Dell and Lenovo certifications during onboarding, reliable transportation and valid driver’s license to travel to multiple sites, daily portal logging by 9 am to map calls, and 2-5 daily calls with 3 weekdays availability. Work at customer sites (residential and commercial); parts pickup from FedEx/UPS stores; translate calls into scheduled service times via the tech portal. Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day
- You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite
