Job Summary
Computer Field Technician for on-site hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units across assigned territories. 1099/per-call contract with pay based on number of calls; starting at $35 per call and increasing with distance traveled. Tickets run Monday–Friday during the day shift; candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays. Daily call volume typically 2–4. Onboarding includes completing online Dell and Lenovo certifications. Requires reliable transportation and valid driver’s license to visit multiple customer sites (residential and commercial). Access to a computer and internet to log into the tech portal is needed, and representatives must log in by 9 am to map calls for the day. Parts pickup from FedEx/UPS stores is required; return of old parts with pre-paid label after day’s calls. Prior hands-on experience replacing components on laptops/desktops is required. Required Qualifications
