Job Summary
Computer Field Technician position performing on-site hardware warranty service and installations for laptop and desktop units. Based out of Granbury, Texas, the role operates under a contract/per-call setup (1099). Techs visit customer sites (residential and commercial), complete parts pickup and return, and log daily in a tech portal by 9 am to map routes and record calls. Dell and Lenovo certifications are part of onboarding and provided online. Requirements include reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, access to a computer/Internet, and the ability to travel locally to multiple sites. Calls start at $35 and pay increases with distance; tickets run Monday–Friday during the day shift with a typical 2–5 calls per day. Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route
- Must complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding (online and free)
- Must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered
- Position is 1099/per call with pay based on number of calls
- Visits multiple work sites throughout the day
- Locations include Gaylord, MI and surrounding territory
- Pay structure: calls start at $35 and increase based on distance traveled
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
