Job Summary
Computer Field Technician needed for on-site hardware repairs and installations of laptops/desktops. 1099/per-call contract position with pay starting at $35 per call, increasing based on distance traveled. Onboarding includes online Dell and Lenovo certifications. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel to multiple customer sites (residential and commercial) across the territory. Regular availability of at least 3 weekdays, 2–5 calls per day, with parts pickup from FedEx/UPS stores and logging into a tech portal by 9 am to plan routes. Prior hands-on experience replacing laptop/desktop components required; on-site, in-person work is performed, with daily local travel and routine customer confirmations.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day
- You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of onboarding (online and free)
- 1099/per call position; pay based on calls completed; tickets run Mon-Fri during the day shift; 3 weekdays minimum availability
- Must visit multiple work sites throughout the day
