Job Summary
Computer Field Technician position performing on-site hardware repairs and installations for laptops and desktops across multiple sites. 1099/contract with payments based on per-call activity ($50 per call). Responsibilities include completing Dell/Lenovo certifications during onboarding, visiting customer sites (residential and commercial), coordinating service times via the tech portal, picking up parts daily from FedEx/UPS, and ensuring daily local travel. Requires prior hands-on experience with replacing components, reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to log in to the tech portal by 9 am to plan calls and routes.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior hands-on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with daily local travel
- Must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day
- Must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day
