Job Summary
Conduct preoperative and intraoperative patient care as part of the surgical team, scrubbing service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Collaborate directly with the surgeon and registered nurse to deliver care before, during, and after surgery. Maintain Certified Surgical Technician and NBSTSA certifications while working a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Manage alternating weekends, holidays, and call coverage while multitasking independently.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an OR Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician
- NBSTSA Certification
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Must be able to work alternating weekends, holidays and call coverage
