Job Summary
Develop and modify integrated software systems for shipboard applications, aligning with Navy architecture and requirements. Conduct software testing, installs, configuration, and troubleshooting across lab and field environments. Assist in defining requirements, creating technical documentation, and evaluating cost/schedule impacts of hardware and software changes. Apply coding standards, security controls, and secure documentation while collaborating with analysts and engineers to design applications. Obtain active DOD security clearance and work in a development and test environment.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 - 5 years of experience in Computer Engineering
- solid 2 - 5 years of computer engineering experience in a development and test environment
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems from an accredited institution
- U.S. citizenship
- the ability to obtain and maintain an active DOD security clearance
- Cyber Security Work Force Certification required (must be able to obtain after being hired)
- Knowledge of Networks
- Software CM knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ or Secure C++
- Working knowledge of DOD/DON cyber security policies and processes, as relates to shipboard software control systems
