Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic CT and general radiographic procedures, administer contrast materials per protocol, and operate CT equipment following established safety standards. Process and deliver images for radiologist review, document exams in the electronic medical record, and assist patients throughout imaging procedures. Perform routine and emergent CT exams and general radiography, including portable imaging, while maintaining PACS image processing and charge documentation. This 40-hour weekly assignment includes a Monday through Friday schedule with weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities. The role supports emergent and routine imaging needs in a hospital setting, contributing to image quality, equipment quality control, and safe radiation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years CT technologist experience
- Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program, or equivalent educational credential
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography or CT, as applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Experience performing routine and emergent CT exams and general radiography, including portable imaging
- Experience processing images in PACS and documenting charges in electronic medical records
- Experience with contrast media administration for CT exams
- 4-10 hours per day Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week with rotation of weekends and on-call responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience scheduling and coordinating imaging appointments across modalities such as CT, X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, and DXA
- Familiarity with equipment quality control and radiation safety (ALARA principles)
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
