Job Summary
The CT Technologist applies diagnostic imaging using CT scanning equipment to produce diagnostic CT scans with direct patient care, assisting in biopsies or drainage procedures as needed, maintaining image quality and proper data, and participating in on-call rotation. Requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology and BLS; associate degree preferred with 1 year CT/Rad Tech experience preferred; cross-training opportunities offered within Imaging including Radiology- Diagnostic Maryview; on-site role in Portsmouth, VA with opportunities to work across acute care or free-standing centers.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required)
- Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
- Education: Associate's from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
- Work Experience: 1 year of experience as CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
- PACS (preferred)
- State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)
