Job Summary
Operate head or body scanners to create computerized tomographic scans, determining technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Perform radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines, developing and evaluating results for technical quality including density, contrast, and definition. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, and prevention while obtaining patient history and positioning them appropriately. Maintain infection prevention standards, clean equipment, and prepare accurate documentation and imaging data for timely interpretation. Collaborate with physicians and medical professionals to document incidental findings impacting patient safety, ensuring examination results meet facility standards before release. Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards, completing mandatory training modules and maintaining up-to-date certifications and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- All Radiology cross-training programs require a completed degree in diagnostic imaging/radiology
- Associates of Applied Science or other Related Fields
- AZDHS Certified Radiologic Technologist
- CT certification
- ARRT (CT)
- BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card application number
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Minimum 1 year experience as imaging technologist
- Competence in using computers and basic software programs
