Job Summary
Perform computerized tomographic procedures for disease and injury diagnosis according to radiologist protocols. Prepare and position patients while selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice, observing patients during procedures and reporting abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates as warranted while following radiation safety guidelines. Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe manner during all tasks. Complete a Radiology or Nuclear Medicine program with CT credential within 12 months of hire. Join SSM Health St. Clare Hospital as a PRN Technologist in the Imaging Department.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine/Radiation Therapy program
- CT credential within 12 months of hire date
- Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Computed Tomography (CT) Credential - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
- Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
