Job Summary

Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images and produce quality CT exam images while exercising professional judgment in procedure performance. Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary, interacting effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and department staff. Operate CT equipment to execute protocols and learn new technology, while obtaining patient information to improve personalized treatment and care. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorpiometry (DEXA) procedures. This role includes day shifts with flexible start times, minimal call, and weekend rotation approximately every sixth weekend.

Required Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accredited program
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • I.V. certification
  • Licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board (if working in North Dakota)
  • CT certification within 24 months of hire (if working in Aberdeen, South Dakota)
  • Permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health (if working in Iowa)

Desired Qualifications

  • Computerized Tomography (CT) training or experience
  • CT certification obtained within two years
